1994 ROSBOROUGH RF-246 SEDAN CRUISER W/ DIESEL

I have a 1994 RF-246 Sedan Cruiser with a Volvo diesel, model AD31D. It came from Rosborough with a SP-C1 single prop outdrive with a 1.61:1 gear ratio. I am thinking of swapping out the single prop for a dual prop. Have any of you here changed over to a dual prop and what difficulties did you run into? Did it eliminate any vibration or noise? thanks in advance. Robbie

I changed over to a duo prop last year and it was the best bang for the buck. My top speed went from 20 kts to 25 kts and I cut my fuel in half. The boat tracks like it is on rails and is vibration free.

Glad to hear you got the results you were looking for with the exchange. I have spent time at the helm of a few boats (not rosborough) with dual prop drives not Volvo's but the B 3 drive from merc. They are quite impressive with their handling. Back into a slip is super sweet.
